As a proud Buffalo manufacturing company, Cobey is excited to see growth and new businesses moving to WNY. In 2006 Cobey moved to its current location in Buffalo across from Gallagher Beach when there was very little business activity in the area. Over the past few years the area has been revitalized with new parks, trails, and waterfront access. The new construction has turned the old steel districts into a destination for biking, kayaking, fishing and enjoying the Buffalo waterfront. It has been amazing to see the progress in such a short time. This momentum has started to carry over and is helping attract entrepreneurs to set up shop here in Buffalo. This USA Today article puts a spotlight on the up and coming tech scene filtering into WNY.
“Blue-collar Buffalo is undergoing a high-tech renaissance. Today, construction cranes scatter the skyline. There are sites for a 1 million-square-foot Solar City manufacturing center (valued at $1 billion), the addition of 500 IBM jobs and an extension to the University at Buffalo's medical research facilities.”
