Cobey announced today that Robert J. Castle, the remaining founding shareholder, will retire in early October. Castle started the business in 1987 and oversaw its growth into an employer of over 100. He will continue in his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
"I couldn't be more proud of everything that we have accomplished. I leave knowing that Cobey will continue to thrive for many years to come and I look forward to seeing it happen from my role on the Board. It has been a great privilege to work with so many wonderful and talented people over the years." he said in a statement on Tuesday.
"The timing is right for me to step back and enjoy the next phase of my life, but I leave with total confidence in the team we have in place to continue to offer the value in engineering and manufacturing quality that our customers have come to expect," Castle added.
Cobey also announced that Michael Durkin, current Vice President, will succeed Castle as the next President and that Eric McKendry recently became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
