The pipe welding department at Cobey has helped meet the high demands of the oil and gas market by achieving a remarkably high passing rate for weld examination. With nearly 23,000 inches of weld inspected in 2008 using radiography inspection (RT) in compliance with ASME B31.3, Cobey welders had a passing rate of 99.24%. Cobey uses independent 3rd party inspection agencies to perform radiographic weld inspection.

Cobey's pipe welders produce welds on equipment for the oil and gas market including Lube Oil Consoles that meet the new ISO 10438 (API-614) standards.
